Similarly, if you set the access point to connect only with devices with specific MAC addresses, you'll have to enter the printer's MAC address in the list before you install it.And it does this much faster than networksetup or disable/re-enable wifi to try to achieve the same result (namely, make wifi work when Mac is stubbornly ignoring the strong AP right next to you in favour of the one in the back of the house). It doesn't switch to the BSSID you specify but it does trigger a switch, to the best BSSID in the same ESSID.
